When the band was beginning, Ryland Blackinton (past lead guitar player, quit the band) often would wear a shirt that said “Pleasure Island.” Band members then gave him the nickname “Pleasure Ryland.” When this song was played at shows, Ryland would usually start off the song solo on stage.
[Verse 1]
You know I try to get close to you
You don't realize what you're putting me through
The things I do, yeah, I do them for you
And I don't mean to seem presumptuous
But I feel when you're looking at me
Don't hesitate if you like what you see
Don't be afraid 'cause I'm setting you free
Here's my philosophy
[Chorus]
Be, be my ho, 'cause I'm your moneymaker
Be, be my ho, 'cause I'm your moneymaker
[Verse 2]
You know I see you walking the street
You don't look back and you don't miss a beat
My heart, it breaks when you get on your knees
Oh, won't you let me take you home?
Girl, you know I will take care of you
You say you got my baby but I know it ain't true
G-A-B-E is coming for you
Here's my philosophy
[Chorus]
Be, be my ho, 'cause I'm your moneymaker
Be, be my ho, 'cause I'm your moneymaker
[Outro]
Be, be my ho, 'cause I'm your moneymaker
