I’m too tired to play with the flames
I thought I could but it’s hard for me

So many nights when it lit her room

With “gotta do’s,” and vanities
And little fires keep on warming me

A mountain’s height, or a lover’s need
I heard it roar from the fire’s place
And can see now how it’s deafened me

And you're too drunk to give a fuck
You got that way because you care too much
Then a good wave came to dance with me
Then a bad wave came
To take me away from the present for days
When I woke I was lost in a terrible day dream
Of anarchist texts
And my parents are ageing

And oh Nicole sleeps on lavender
You’d lose a limb to be there with her
On a good wave’s lips, she came to me
We shared the fire
