Peter Rambeley

My name is Peter Rambeley, as you may understand
Born on Prince Edward Island, close by the ocean strand
In the spring of eighteen eighty-one, when the flowers was fair to view
I left my native country, my fortune to pursue

And I landed in New Brunswick, that lumbering country
And I hired out in the lumbering woods which proved my destiny

When I was struck by a fallin' limb, and scrunched into the ground
