It's an easy game to play to fool yourself
Into thinkin' that you are right
When all the time you're living in darkness
Turning away from the light

Doing things your own way
Following your own plan
Taking and never giving
Forgetting the Lord's command

Perfect submission
To the will of God is the only way to be free
As you surrender to the voice of the Lord
You can be, be all that He wants you to be

If you want to know the truth about yourself
And really follow the Lord
You've got to spend some time with Jesus
Praying and reading His Word

Letting Him have the first place
In your heart and your soul
Allowing the Holy Spirit
To have complete control

Perfect submission
