“pedestal” is a song released by alpha yang on January 01, 2021. It talks about the ideas of fame and how it may not always be as it seems.
(VERSE 1)
I’ve heard so many stories
I’ve heard it all before
I know it’s dumb to worry
So sometimes i want more
(PRE-CHORUS 1)
If i said
You looked perfect
And you leave while saying no
Oh I swear
I’m seeing roses
Unlike my subtle glow
(CHORUS)
Tell me what it feel like
To be on a pedestal
Tell me what it feels like
To be someone
Tell me what if feels like
To be on a pedestal
You make it so desirable
(VERSE 2)
You talk to me likе honey
Like a buzzing candy store
My rеplies weren’t too pretty
So sometimes I want more
(PRE_CHORUS 2)
I could bow down
To your medals
And you end up getting bored
When you tell me
It’s not worth it
Then what are we aiming for?
(CHORUS)
Tell me what it feel like
To be on a pedestal
Tell me what it feels like
To be someone
Tell me what if feels like
To be on a pedestal
You make it so desirable
(POST CHORUS)
But I really gotta let it go (there must be something at the top)
Yeah I really gotta let it go (wish we can both be in the same spot)

“pedestal” is a song i wrote after watching “The Last Dance” on Netflix. I was just curious how famous people like Michael Jordan dislike their fame despite it looking cool and stuff. I wrote this as well with my good friend Lance Lim. Had super fun working on this
