In this strip, the future world-famous beagle Snoopy makes his debut. In the beginning, Snoopy is a typical dog, not having acquired any of his human-like characteristics yet.
It is also the first Peanuts strip not to contain any words.
Snoopy is walking down the sidewalk with a flower on his head.
On his walk, he happens upon Patty's flower box by her window.
Patty waters the flower on a confused Snoopy's head, thinking it to be one of the flowers in her box.
The strip ends with the flower tilted downwards and Snoopy looking depressed.
