Pack Yr Suitcases (DVD Commentary)

Hi, this is David McCormack. Um, I was in Custard for the entirety of its career
Well done. Uh, this is Andrew Lancaster, uhh, I did uh, majority of these film clips you might be looking at
And now here we are, straight into Pack Yr Suitcases, which is the first video you did with us, is that correct?
Yes. This is actually the end of it when we were shooting at Clovelly Bowling Club

I have a recollection of... the night before the clip, actually having to show... you... how to fit into a harness. And um, I think uh you put it on for about, uh, 3 minutes? And it was barely comfortable but by the end of it-
Aw yeah, I had blisters
You were very sore, yeah. We made a bit of a scaffolding behind you. And all I just remember is like, you calling out for the ladder after every take. So, and I think in the rushes there's like people running up to the ladder and you just holding... your crotch-
It was incredibly painful though. Like, you look at that and it looks quite well supported, but it wasn't 'cause it just targeted one area
Generally, I think the average parachuting kinda for would be y'know a couple minutes but we-
Minute or two, yeah
Yeah, spend a whole day in it. Yeah, and I remember, see the little um-
This is down at, um, Rushcutters Bay
Yeah, Rushcutters Bay Bowl, which is actually no longer there. It's been, uh, demolished and now there's the-
That hotel
The Vibe Hotel or something?
Yeah, the hotel
Yeah, some really bad hotel
It's terrible
But um, I don't know if you remember, there was a uh, a mannequin... legs
Yeah, mannequin leg, yeah
And I always remember, um, during the shoot, um, someone had actually... dropped them or- no we had- we had them actually on, uh, little bits of-
Fishing wire, weren't they?
And um, it almost fell on someone so, they weren't happy
These are good keyboards. I always liked that keyboard bit
That's actually, that's actually my fingers on that keyboard 'cause didn't you guys have to go to a gig and I did the shots
Look, you picked it- why did you pick the one where I missed the- th- the bowls there?
