A thumb nail torn skin of an orange on a fault coast
Do you know that you taste like that to me?
The sugar-coated honey is in a tizzy
Pulling and it is clawing at me
Look - the shoreline has gone fucking wild
And someone is crying
Beside the fresh caladium trees
And shit is blowing everywhere, Helianthus
Catching on the mid-veins of the leaves
Look at the pallor of my hands
And look what I can do
Peripheral vision distorts the weird salt-worn faces
And I am watching out for you
I am running on the wet glass for you
Are they your shoulders in the yellow spice aislе
You are laughing, I am trying to kiss you
You chaîné, your finger follows the pеlagic seabirds
The ones that drop their eyes to you
And the whimbrel coalesce and they whisper something
And maybe it's your name
You sharpen and focus your milky eyes
It is the morning
And tired and worn, you sing to me
Linen and butter on your knee
And look, the marketplace gets loud in the evening
And crepe soles trample the coreopsis leaves
And stars are blanketing above you, Helianthus
Petal, were you calling out for me?
And was that you reaching out of the foam sea?
For a blood orange, that you can't quite see?
