Older Now

I’m leaving on a plane
And maybe I’m insane
Cuz no one knows my name
Like they do at home

This summer went by quick
As we took our last licks
I’m scrolling through the pictures on my phone

I’m on and off today
I’m sorry that I moved so far away
I wish I’d had the chance to say I know
That people they can change
But friends will stay the same no matter where

The weather’s getting cold
And we said when we got older we’d have time to figure it out
So why do I feel older now

Your parents seem so big

Now I’m a college grad
And I’m the same height as my dad
I think I’ve got his laughter too
