Every time
I turn on my television
I see someone who is paid to tell me
What I need to be happy or a success

I see families
Who create and solve problems in 25 minutes
And it's no wonder why kids are trapped in sitcoms

Trying to figure out what's wrong with their families
These kids aren't given any answers
Just standards they can't live up to

And so we wonder where
These people's self-esteem goes
That's right, it's fucking still in Channel 7

Trying to figure out
How to lose
10 pounds in 10 minutes

Their mind is still in Channel 7
