She walks endlessly at night
Holding on
Glass city tracks her face;
Only bright spikes
There’s no harvest
From a ghost
Shattered windows
Dot the coast
She was listening
To the warnings on the radio
Brushed away the sand
And stepped into a place she didn’t know
Fear of what tomorrow brings
Couldn’t keep her frozen anymore
They scream
While justice sleeps
IT’S NOT OK
IT’S NOT OK
I’M NOT OK
One day her body will decay
Melt away like every flake of snow
The offices and poisoned water
Make it less slow
Creatures howl
In the night
Over traffic
Smoke and light
She was listening
To the warnings on the radio
Brushed away the sand
And stepped into a place she didn’t know
Fear of what tomorrow brings
Couldn’t keep her frozen anymore
They scream
While justice sleeps
IT’S NOT OK
IT’S NOT OK
I’M NOT OK
It’s not personal but - IT’S NOT OK
I’m not imagining stuff - IT’S NOT OK
I’m tired of trying to act tough - I’M NOT OK
It’s not personal but
I’m not imagining stuff
I’m tired of trying to act tough
