The 5th song on the album is also one of the heaviest. It presumably deals with abuse (both physical and mentally) and the consequences.
Siouxsie was abused at the age of 9 in 1966, an incident that was largely ignored by her parents. Maybe this event is the inspiration for the song.
You buried it so deep
So safe in hidden sleep
But like a tell-tale corpse
Rises to the surface
Over-ripe and bloated
In naked time-lapsed truth
Thought it was lost forever
Remember this
Oh, how long has it been
Or have you forgotten, yeah
When you first forgot?
Now resurrection, the phoenix
Aflame with pride and conceit
Remembers this
Wind blown leaves outside
Applauding like the ocean, yeah
To the cacophony inside
The waves come rushing in
A crashing whispering
Drowning they drink me
Ah, not forgotten
Ah, not forgotten
This is not forgotten
Do you forget how to sleep?
Do you forget how to forget?
Ah, not forgotten
Ah, not forgotten
Ohh not forgotten
Remember this
