Nostalgia

Thinking back to the times when I was just 16
Smoking weed and being a fool cos I thought I was cool
Sometimes I miss you greatly, other times I wished that you could just leave
Stuck in the times getting high in the school field and roaming the streets
Making out in my backseat
We were sure there would never be an end to it all

Now times sped by and I'm stuck inside my life, barely alive
Thinking back to the times before you made me bleed
Wish I could feel what I felt back then

That night I got grounded and we were just so scared
Now what I wouldn't do to go back to it again
Back when I was 16, when I wasn't a fiend

At the time I was busy doing dishes
Now all I do is sit around just wishing
Burning bridges, digging ditches
Thought we'd live forever but there's always an end to it all

And I don't even care if I die tonight
Pray that I get high tonight
Sitting pretty, so that I can explore the city
It's over now, but I've been getting sober now
