No Reason

Dylan J * Track #3 On That’s Good

No Reason Lyrics

Park chilling, writing rhymes, it's that feeling /
Understand the layers of the world as we peel them /
Now with our notebook glowing in the sun /
No need to plan a story when the story has begun /
It's just that whole view, look at what we've evolved to /
Mixing the past and the present complimented with a soul tune /
Cause we need that, people need to breathe that /
Essence of choice to explore life like a free map /
Creative vibe making shapes from the clouds /
I'm always asking why, when the people are asking how /
I can explain but it's dependant on the crowd /
So give or take the pun, but it's under wraps for now /

/ Chorus / Man why you doin' what chu doin'? No reason /
Yo what's the point to it all? No reason /
And why is rhyming worth persuing? No reason /
What? No reason / What? No reason /

Bet you didn't expect that, probably wouldn't get that /
Motivation reflects back, bigger picture, I rep that /
To prove what my passion is, hope you know I'm a rationalist /
Yeah cause I plan on smashing this, hopefully one day cashing big / And stashing it in the pockets of those that never had it /
So that helping the ones around them is so close that they could grab it /
Motivated people, yet life may never let em /
Do we take these opportunities for those that never get em? /
Evident that they're rare, so I'm rapping to see those /
While others bring in more cheese than a packet of cheeto's /
I see though, why the industry can trick these people /
So I keep my pace steady like a fixie /

/ Chorus /

Step back we don't rhyme for the cheese /
I know its hard but try to believe /
That some still write to achieve /
And you mightn't agree, we don't need to receive, but /
I feel relieved that I breathe for the mission /
And we're not near, there's a lot here, aiming for the same position /
Curb writing, good move /
I'm trying, to improve /
Those lyrics, they swoop /
Allocate where they should glue /
Truth isn't told unless each word unfolds /
A way to belong in each song that the writer beholds /
Too lost within my own yet concepts are piling up /
Wide-eyed my mind providing everything that is corrupt /
From others stories to my own, a man on street holds out a cup /
Know what I'll do but for now, ask if there's reason, I'll say 'nup' /

/ Chorus /

Yeah they think it's grand, lifestyle's at high demand /
I don't know if it was destined or if it was all unplanned /
Nothing I'm doing's stable, may be hanging by a strand /
But that's what tested me to find out I'm happy with who I am /
Yeah I'm happy with who I am /
