Abused in his mother's womb
By the drugs and such that she'd consumed
Right from the start
He had no place to be a child
Now his eyes tell the story of
A world too cold to show it's love
Alone and afraid
He has no place to be a child
Is there no place to be a child?
Is there some place that you know
Where a little one can go and be a child
Growing up can take a while
But many find no place to be a child
Some are left to grow up in the streets
Where in turn they abuse
Everyone that they meet
'Cause that's what you learn
When there's no place to be a child
Aborted future's piled by the score
And all because life is not sacred no more
No more, no more
Oh, there's no place to be a child
Is there no place to be a child?
Is there some place that you know
Where a little one can go and be a child
You know that growing up can take a while
But many find no place to be a child
Oh, doctor, lawyer, Indian chief
Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief
Makes no difference, we share this sadness
Let's make a difference and stop this madness
No place, hey, to be a child, Lord
To be a child
Where can we go, to be a child
To be a child
Where can we go, to be a child
Is there no place to be a child?
Is there some place that you know
Where a little one can go and be a child
Well, they say growing up can take a while
But many find no place to be a child
People were bringing little children to Jesus
To have Him touch them
But the disciples rebuked them
When Jesus saw this, He was indignant
He said to them, “Little children come to me
Do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God
Belongs to such as these
I tell you the truth
Anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God
Like a little child will never enter it”
And He took the children in His arms
Put His hands on them and blessed them
Is there no place to be a child
