This is the ninth and final track of SPACEMEN, Ocean Florist’s debut album
The song is a spoken word about aliens referred as “people who are living at the same time as us” and a childish dream by Matt of Yesterday’s Performing Arts.
[Spoken Word: Yesterday's Performing Arts]
Viewing from the endpoint, of where only a few people have gone before
Or at least from my perspective
It's not much to say, but understanding that there are also people out here at the same time is kinda scary
I'd like to say hi to them, comfort them, maybe eat some ice cream with them
Even though everything has lost all flavor recently
I said the endpoint, and, while I meant the endpoint of where I was
I also meant the endpoint of this dream
Once children experience or learn about something, it's like, automatically their dream
And that's fine, but it's odd knowing I was one of those children and now I'm here
As time came along, I learned more about this childish dream
And it seemed less appealing as it went along
But again, now I'm here
As a child, I always thought about going through it, but never what happens after
What happens after is what no one thinks about, it's the simple human fear, the unknown
