I think what inspired “Need You To Not” was a couple of friends relationships that were very kind of unhealthy where they just kept crawling back to that person. That person would just keep tempting them and keep tempting them, leading them on basically. I did not really intend for “Need You To Not”...

We started recording “Need You To Not” at my farm in Mississippi. Dan Fernandez had brought all of his track equipment, so we started tracking it right then and there.
