As with most of the songs off this album, the lyrics are almost completely improvised and not properly strung together. Avey Tare himself has stated “That record is a lot more improv-based than our last couple”. So its possible that these songs have little to no meaning to them.
Pretending I am a boy
Has proved all too easy
Well I sense some problem near it
It's the kind of smoke that could make us invisible
See the thing is, I haven't seen you lately (Okay!)
In the book of working I delve into
I watch you cursing, it reminds me you're angry (Alright!)
And we don't smile, I can act right, don't stare
So do you, so do you, so do you
Love me, love me, love me
So do you, so do you, so do you
Love me, love me, love me
So do you, so do you, so do you
Love me, love me, love me
Things'll get better
The words I'm kindred were beneath my wood pen (Thank you!)
With the children that could look good in some house paint (That's good!)
I sew my face into a permanent crush high (Like you!)
I play with chocolate bars behind the newsstand
So do you, so do you, so do you
Love me, love me, love me
So do you, so do you, so do you
Love me, love me, love me
So do you, so do you, so do you
Love me, love me, love me
Things'll get better
Stumble with me, it's nice in the breeze
Ghosts are all looking for pennies in the trees
And they're weeping, their eyes
Picnic bees are brushing me and brushing me
Then it's over
