The sun sets, the streets are swept
I return to my bed
At winter's end comes springtime dread
But summer stretches out to remind me
In California, I'll mourn for ya
The friends that I will have to leave behind
I'm gonna buy new boots

I'll open up a book
And I'll stay clean for a while
