Wandering through lightly buzzing evening streets
City lights are staring blankly back at me
Faces flicker by - the slideshow of the night
Fragments of the world in question reach my sight

Random bits of conversations in my ears
Someone else's stories don’t belong to me
Someone else's glances never linger here
I pick up my pace to flee eternity
