After a long absence from the music scene (the last release being “Resolution” in 2013), Matt Corby released “Monday” as the first single for his highly anticipated debut album. The song was recorded in ten minutes using sounds generated entirely from his voice and body, including stomps and claps.

(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
[Verse 1]
All day blazed I wondered
If through grace I'd find a new high I wanted
Or could it be you?
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
No bible no more
I don’t know faith like I did before
I gave it enough
I saw the fallen white doors
I stumble too and get it wrong
Oh when it’s said and gone
I will wait with you
Fading out to silence
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
[Verse 3]
Blame it on your age and sombre nature
If the violent conversation gets the best of you
And over graves we’ll all get laid and from the babies
Some will teach us what the hell our souls were born to do
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
(Oooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh)
[Outro]
Oh I was never lost, I only chose to never go home
Oh I was never lost, I only chose to never go home
Oh I was never lost, I only chose to never go home
Oh I was never lost, I only chose to never go home
