Melodies of Madness

In the mirror, I see a face unknown
Calm on the surface, with turmoil overblown
Beneath this old blackened coat
Reaches a tempest that riles up my own storm
Echoed whispers fuel my fears
A symphony of doubts crescendo my tears
Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
I've been scared of the monsters inside
That try to climb out of my head

Hearts drumming like a thunderous plea
Is there no way out?
Am I left with this disease?
Demons lurking in the shadows act free
While I run and hide, has this always been with me?
I walk around this liminal maze
Is this really my head, or just some sick sense of fate?
