She's got a bruise the shape of Texas by her eye
Way too blue for red blonde to disguise
It won't shape like California on her cheek
The thought of how it got there leaves me weak

I watch her in the check out line
These thoughts are racing through my mind
I bet he's sorry every time

Maybe I'm wrong
I don't wanna be right
