l have been so deeply inspired by your mother's creative witness in Florida that I wanted to get a note off to you her willingness to stand up for rights and to go to jail along with her negro brothers and sisters for what she believes will be an inspiration to generations yet unborn through her words and action she is saying to the whole nation that all men are brothers and that the cancerous sore of segregation must be removed from the body politics before our democratic health will be realized it was also very inspiring to see you on television this morning supporting your mother so strongly with this type of support i am convinced that we will soon move from the bleak and desolate midnight of mans inhumanity to man into the bright day break of freedom and human dignity for all
