What inspired you to reimagine the song?
When I came up with the title and basic “Hook” for the song I played with a reggae style groove. Over the years I’ve always wanted to re do it in a complete authentic reggae style.

I was talking to quest love on his podcast and mentioned that the original inspiration for maneater was a reggae style song and he encouraged me to re cut it. Native Wayne reached out to some of the musical legends of reggae. Sly Dunbar on drums/ Chinna Smith on guitar / Chris Meridith on bass and Jamie Lyn on keyboards…These guys played with the likes of bob marley, peter tosh and toots and the maytalls.
