Magic Eye is an allegory for a psychadelic drug trip. The singer’s leaving their old shit behind them, moving past their self-doubt and reservation to essentially hop out of their own head and see the world through the fresh lens of their ‘magic eye’ instead, removed of all their past trouble.
[Verse 1]
I'm gonna put my shit in the ground
Cause I don't like that garbage hanging around
I'm gonna drive my van off a cliff
Cause I am way too lazy to trade it all in
[Chorus]
And I'll walk away
I won't turn around
And I'll use my magic eye
To peer into a better dimension
[Verse 2]
It's to the point I don't even care
To let a bogus punchline hang in the air
I'm gonna glue my tongue to my chin
So I don't slip up and say something shitty again
[Chorus]
And I'll walk away
I won't turn around
And I'll use my magic eye
To peer into a better dimension
A better dimension
