Doon Coolin's face the night is sailing
The banshee croons her note of wailing;
My blue eyen wi' sorrow are streaming
For I noo will never return MacCrimmon

No more, no more, no more MacCrimmon;
In war nor in peace shall return MacCrimmon;
Till dawns the sad day of doom and burning
MacCrimmon is home no more returning

The breeze on the bray is mournfully moaning;
The brook in the hallow is plaintively mourning;
