I was alone, I was finally home
Left in the sand by the sea
Lost to the day and the travelling waves
Parents asleep on the beach
Lost in the waves, I was lost to the day
Drawn down by undersea breeze
The forests and caves that are under the waves
Saltwater breathing through me
So I swam farther, I dove into the blue and the green
And what I found there was a quiet world waiting for me
I was amazed and then I was a wave
Grew a gill and two glittering fins
I can breathe, I can hear, I can move without fear
And I love everything that I see
So I'll be fine here, I have everything that I could need
And when they find me, there'll be nothing resembling me
I've swum away
I've swum away
I've swum away
I’ve swum away
I’ve swum away
