Little Annie never had a Christmas, her family was too poor
While walking by she saw a sign at the local department store
It said, "Just around the corner old Santa's on his way
He'll be here soon, tomorrow at noon" little Annie couldn't wait
She stood in line and when it came her turn
She climbed up on his knee
When Santa heard what she had to say
A tear rolled down his cheek
She said there's lots of things I'd like to see
Like a brand new bike beneath the tree
A dolly smiling back at me
But the thing I want the most
Then she whispered in his ear soft and low, she said
Christmas morning rolled around and she woke up with the sun
She ran straight to the window if Santa Claus had come
There was no sign of reindeer hoofs, no gifts of any kind
Then she heard a knock upon the door and she opened it to find
That poor little boy from across the road
With a new coat and new shoes
Little Annie jumped for joy and yelled
"My Christmas wish came true!"
She said there's lots of things I'd like to see
Like a brand new bike beneath the tree
A dolly smiling back at me
But the thing I wanted most
Was to see the kids with less than me
Find gifts beneath their Christmas tree
Happiness and joy would be
The first thing on my list
A selfless dream came true
Little Annie's Christmas wish
