“Lisa Says” was originally recorded October 1, 1969 during the sessions for the Velvet Underground’s lost fourth album. After the band was dropped by MGM Records, the sessions were shelved and the album didn’t see the light of day again until Verve issued them on the 1985 archival album VU.
