Yeah! We the People! This gon' be like my "Last Call," Kanye. "Note to Self," J. Cole, "My 1st Song," JAY-Z. "APPRECIATE DA LOVE," A Hype. Shout-out A Hype! I got a lot of things I got to say, a lot of people I got to shout out. This beat? I tried to do this once. I tried to do this once and the beat ran out, so I had to make it longer. This song might be 12 minutes, I don't know how long the shit's gonna be but, fuck it, I'ma talk anyway
I'd like to thank God, first and foremost. I'd like to thank my family. I know they're probably not gonna hear this ever, but, I'd like to thank them. To the dude... I know I've told a lot of y'all about him, the dude I dissed... or I talked about on the title track for "Open Mike Night," the second verse. I squashed the beef with him. He's one of my best friends, he's always been one of my best friends, but we're cool now, and I'd like to apologize to him for that song, talking about our business. I don't even think he's ever gonna hear this, but... I'd also like to apologize for a couple sneak disses I threw out on this album towards him. I just had to get those off my chest, like I said on the song. But yeah, everything is cool with him now
This is kinda hard for me to say, it's kinda weird to think about because, this is really only my second project. And it's kind of weird to say this but it might be my last. And the reason why I say that is because I'm going off to college. By the time this drops, it's probably gonna be, like, May or June. I'm going off to college in August, so I don't know if I'm gonna really have time to record a whole project again for a while, if I ever have time. I might be able to record shit here and there, but it's gonna be a minute til you see another Big Mike album. I'ma say that. I'm still gonna do features and shit, but, I don't know. We the People might be the last album you see from me for a while, and that's kind of why I wanted to get a lot of the collaborations out. The people I wanted to collaborate with
So, first and foremost, I wanna thank the people that helped me with this album process. I wanna thank everybody that featured on the album. Jason, BLKMSK, one of my best friends in the community, I love you bro. He was on two songs, supposed to be on three, but, shit happened. So, I wanna send a shoutout to him. Send a shoutout to Pacoveli, Max, OKAYIMRELOADED! I wanna send a shoutout to you, dude. I love Max, he's a genuine dude, he helped put A Hype's album together. He really helped in the initial creative process for this album. Great dude, genuinely cares for music and the culture and all that, so I wanna thank him. I wanna thank A Hype. A Hype was one of the dudes that really inspired me to start releasing music. The guy who I had beef with, that I talked about on "Open Mike Night," he was really the first person that inspired me to start writing. But I didn't really feel confident in myself to release music until I joined the community and I saw A Hype. A Hype and I had conversations and he really gave me the confidence to release music and, you know, here we are, you know what I'm saying?
I wanna give a shoutout to Yokai, especially Yokai, because he's really the person that put me on. He hit me up, asking if I wanted to be on AgusRonny, and of course I had to say yes. I knew I had those conversations with A Hype and I didn't know what I wanted to do for my first album, and I thought maybe if I got some shine on AgusRonny, if I got some attention off that, then people would wanna check out "Open Mike Night," which they did. So I love Yokai for that, I really appreciate you. Jail Phone Yokai is really one of my favorite features on the album. I'm sorry, y'all, but Jail Phone Yokai is just so iconic. We tried to get King Blow on there too, but, I don't know
I wanna give a shoutout to Ninto. He's a cool dude. I mean, he can rap. He can flow on a beat. I wanted him to do a hook on the song we did, but, it didn't work out. He ended up just doing a verse, and I ended up doing the hook. That song was a little bit of a mess to put together, but that's neither here nor there
I got a lot of the people in the community to shoutout. Hello P! I already said what's up to Jason. I gotta give a shoutout to TONY, Vivek, Bari. Some of my best friends in the community, I love all of you. Like, just period, y'all are some of my best friends in the community. I don't know what I would do without you guys, I really appreciate you guys. Baba Bick was another one of my favorite group chats. I'm looking at the shit right now, they're talking about Obi-Wan Kenobi. I don't know what I just entered, but. I already said what's up to Jason, Max and Yokai. Shoutout to Agus, other half of AgusRonny. Thank you for putting me on your album, I appreciate it. Shoutout to Kody, Tej, Nikko, Ritchie, Angel, Jayson with a Y. King Blow. Like I said, I wanted King Blow on the album but it didn't work out. Shoutout John, shoutout Rat, shoutout Eduardo. Shoutout Ben, I love you Ben. One of the most mature 14 year olds I've ever met in my life. Shoutout Adrian. Adrian, whenever the third Big Mike album drops I need you on there, bro. I love you. Shoutout the whole Baba Bick crew
Dylan chat... I've had my differences with the Dylan chat. I've left and came back over some stupid shit, but shoutout to them. Gotta give a shoutout to Elijah, to Dylan... to Kids See Reviews Tyler, to Comrade Tyler, to Sean. Brody, New Gold School Carlos, Omar. Post Rock Sucks, shoutout Michael, the other Michael. realmiketurtle, Dom! The other Max! Max, I'm really tired of you sending dick pics in the chat, dude. Cut that shit out. Shoutout Jude
Shoutout to the Retry group chat. I've had my differences with them too, but, you know what I'm saying, whatever. Especially shoutout to David, OnlyBuilt4Rap. That dude is actually the reason why I even have an account in the community. I found him through my personal, I've had conversations with him on my personal, and he was like "why don't you make an account?" And I was like "shit... I might as well," you know what I mean? Shoutout to Luke Higgins as well. Experz. Shoutout to Nizzy and Steven. I have my differences with Nizzy and Steven constantly, but, they're cool. I mess with them. Shoutout to Amin, shoutout to Enzo, shoutout the whole chat, dawg. Shoutout to all of y'all. Retry. Shoutout to y'all
I wanna give a shoutout to Dan, putting the album cover and the tracklist together. He was super patient with me, I was changing up the tracklist constantly. I'm really appreciative. I love the cover, I love the track listing, I love the font you used. I love everything about it, the color. I want to just give a shoutout to you, being patient, I really appreciate you
Shoutout to Dylan Moss... this is the first group chat I was in. Imreallyrap, shoutout to Jake. Shoutout Nick's Music Stuff, shoutout to Dan, shoutout Flvcko. I got love for all of y'all
I wanna shoutout, you know, some of my inspirations through this creative process. I said it on the album a couple of times, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne really helped inspire me throughout this whole album, as far as the music goes, putting me in the mood. I gotta say wassup to Dr. Dre. I know he's not gonna hear this, I know a lot of these celebrities aren't gonna hear this. Pretty much all of them aren't gonna hear this, but I gotta shout them out. Shoutout Dre, Dr. Dre. Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Kanye, Mase. Ya'll know I had to throw Mase out there. Everyone, if you listening to this and you haven't heard it already, go peep Harlem World. It's a good album
There's a lot of people, man. A lot of people I got to thank, just for inspiring me, making me wanna make music. Shoutout Nas, shoutout The Game, 50 Cent. Shoutout, well, Rest In Peace to 2Pac. Rest In Peace to Biggie, Eazy-E, Prodigy, Proof. Big Pun, Big L, Phife Dawg. Jam Master Jay. It's a lot of influences, man, it's a lot of em. Lot of people to shoutout, lot of people to thank, because without them we wouldn't be here. I know Eazy-E wasn't the greatest rapper, you know, I know that. But, you still gotta give credit where credit is due, you gotta thank em, you gotta appreciate what they did for the culture and for rap as a whole, as a genre. So, yeah
Shoutout to Scarface, thank you. Shoutout Cam'ron, it's a lot of people I wanna thank. And, you know, I had to go.. look, I wasn't gonna rap on this song. I couldn't do that to this beat, I can't spaz over this beat. I had a couple ideas for what I was gonna rap about, but, I couldn't do it. Had to use it as my outro
I wanna thank everyone for listening. I do this for y'all, man. Y'all want it, y'all loved Open Mike Night, y'all loved 2Train, ya'll loved my verse on AHYPEALYPSE. I do this for y'all, I'm glad everybody enjoys me and my music. I don't know when I'm gonna see y'all again, if I y'all see me again. You'll see me on features, but a full length album? I don't know. But... I'd love to do another one
Thank you again, thank you so much for everyone listening. I love all of you. Big Mike out. We the People
