How did the song come together?
I start a lot of my music on guitar, lay down some basic chords and then move
it into the studio. This is how this song first started out.
What was the process of making the song like?
Once I had the track laid down, I got together with songwriter / friend Glen Roberts to work on the topline, and we brought in joan to feature on the track. I’d always been a big fan of them, so it was absolutely wicked to get them to collab on this track.
What inspired it?
I wanted to make something really upbeat, I feel like a lot of my tracks can be a bit sad & nostalgic (which, don’t get me wrong, I really like) – but I liked the challenged of going full on happy!
