Life, Right?

I’m told that I should really meditate
To elevate above the bullshit of the day to day
Or read a novel. Non-fiction’s hard to swallow
Play the lotto and imagine all the riches that’ll follow
Or crack a bottle, don’t think about tomorrow
Scroll through Instagram models. Hope it doesn’t make me feel hollow
Or find something to believe in
Karma, Dharma, Dalai Lama, Dogma, or Jesus
Or give up searching for a meaning completely
Take the easy route with TV on the couch
Binge watch some Netflix and never question it
And let the next episode autoplay as I rot away
Wait… wait
Could throw some money at the boredom
And dig a hole of debt just to project I can afford it
And when I’m buried in the dirt
I just hope my headstone exaggerates my net worth
Life, right? So many ways to live it
Might find the right one or stay wishing
My mind is tryna find a rhythm
Where I learn to ditch distractions and just focus on the living part
