Left Inside

Lost
No sense of direction
Alone
A struggle for perfection
I reach out
Void of confidence and vision
I find
Emptiness and insecurity

Searching inside me, I’m desperate and aching for truth
Echoing voices declaring that I am a fool
Pushing them down, and then I try to forget
But louder they call, and I am filled with regret:

“Run
There is no need to try,”
“Hope?
Its better to leave inside,”

Flaws
Unfortunate reality of
All
I do and I create
My heart’s full;
Excitement and anticipation
But how do
I open myself up to the scars?

Reaching inside me, to welcome a new point of view
Altered perceptions reshaping the world that I knew
Chasing an answer but all that I find
Are voices confusing and clouding my mind
