He betrayed her trust
In an hour of lust
Put his family ties on the line
A careless event
Given the consequence
Not to mention the weight on his mind
I was a secret well-kept
'Til he broke down and wept
And told her how bad he had been
With tears in his eyes
Much to his surprise
He watched as she reached out to him

Of her body and soul
Her vices were winning the fight
But someone she loved
Helped her seek from above
The light of God's glory and grace
And then as she prayed
Her chains fell away
As he wiped the tears from her face

The Lord won't condemn
When you give it to Him
