Landlord’s Prayer

Literally in a daze, it's been days since i had sleep

Can’t let my dreams take the back seat

I wanna jump in bed right now so bad

I just gotta dig deep like some bad cleats

I told my mom i been dropping records everyday

Since i left home & headed for LA..

She don’t know how i do it, shit, neither do i

But she pray and she know that theres some things that's on the way

Consistency, that's the currency with which i pay

At all costs, i'm like my momma in that way

And i don’t give a fuck what you say...

I guess i'm like my pops in that way..

He don’t look for his kids, shit - even to this day..

I just view my shit a different way..

But ayee... the plot is gettin interesting

I got people in the pot that are interested..

Can't see it now, but ima eat - photosynthesis

I don't stop, i repeat - i'm convinced it is

The reason that i'm growing, shit - exponentially

If we ain't there you know we going eventually

Maktub! it'll happen if it's meant to be..

But first i had to come to grips with it mentally

Doing. only thing i believe in -

Pursue it, can't just stand there and be it -

Do it, the fear of suffering is worse than the pain itself

You want some color in your life, it ain't gon paint itself

The biggest thing i've learned is to wait for nobody

Be impatient with the grind but patient with the godly

I see it lining it up, i see the evidence

But first i had to have faith when it wasn't evident

I feel the pain for the ones that got no support

But feel the triumph of the kid that showed up to the court

& shot it everyday in sweaty shirts and smelly shorts

Cuz on that given day, ain't shit he ain't ready for

I hope that this year, shit really start moving

I just met the landlord, he ain't know we moved in

We ain't on paper but we here to get the paper

Please Mr. Landlord consider my prayer ..
