[Verse 1]
Sick of being stressed out
Tired of walking with my head down
I'm over it, over it
Over it, over it
Pulling the receipt out
Ain't got nothin' in my account
I'm over it, over it
Over it, over it
[Pre-Chorus]
They say money can't buy you happiness
Say money can't buy you happiness
They say money can't buy you happiness
[Chorus]
I'd rather cry in a Lambo
Be depressed at the chateau
Live on my parents' bankroll
I'd rather cry, rather cry, rather cry, rather cry in a Lambo
[Verse 2]
I see people at Rodeo
As I shop from the window
I want all of it, all of it
All of it, all of it
That vacationing in Cabo
Poppin' bottles in casinos (he, he, he)
I want all of it, all of it
All of it, all of it
[Pre-Chorus]
They say friends and family make you rich
Say friends and family make you rich
They say money can't buy you happiness
[Chorus]
I'd rather cry in a Lambo
Be depressed at the chateau
Live on my parents' bankroll
I'd rather cry, rather cry, rather cry, rather cry in a Lambo
[Bridge]
Don't want to cry in my Honda, cry in my closet
Or in the back of my shitty apartment
Cry in the Target with an empty wallet
Sit here in the dark, wonder why she hadn't called yet
Wanna chill in the sauna, doing what I wanna
That's the only reason that I'm saving up this coma
[Pre-Chorus]
They say money can't buy you happiness
Say money can't buy you happiness
They say money can't buy you happiness
[Chorus]
I'd rather cry in a Lambo
Be depressed at the chateau
Live on my parents' bankroll
I'd rather cry, rather cry, rather cry, rather cry
I'd rather cry in a Lambo
Be depressed at the chateau
Live on my parents' bankroll
I'd rather cry, rather cry, rather cry, rather cry in a Lambo
LAMBO was written by Kyle Reynolds & EBEN.
LAMBO was produced by Kenny Carkeet.
The song was first brought to me by my manager. As soon as I heard it, I fell in love with the whole idea of the song and knew it was the perfect fit. I instantly was able to relate to this song, and knew my fans would be able to as well.
The record was born from the going through the everyday struggle of financially trying to stay afloat as an artist. It’s not always easy and through this record, I wanted to kind of poke fun at myself and my situation. I’m the type of person to always find the positives in any situation.
It’s actually kind of funny of how it came together. I had been trying to find a time to record it. R8dio, who vocal produced the track, was already at Record Plant with extra time left in a session, and he called me and told me to come down. I basically finessed my way into a session at this legend...
