The bitter flower pressed
Each and every spring
My failures attest
To the blooming from the grave
And in defeating death, I sing

Pursing my lips
Around the bottle's seal
And looking within
My influence revealed

The sweetness of the beer
The lambic on my tongue
How can the throat reject
What the body wants?
