The “Kim” in the title is a reference to Kim Jong Un, who controls many nuclear weapons as leader of North Korea. The song seems to be conjuring up nuclear imagery – the “sunsets” may very well be the light of a nuclear explosion, or perhaps the eve of civilization.
[Verse 1]
Age on the brain, same rain, it falls
Again and again, sat like a shell
That will never be fired, unmesmerized
How it goes, so it goes
Kim's sunsets
[Verse 2]
Heavenly dams hold up the sky
Faces lit up with immortal smiles
Under Paektu, an ocean of pride
How it goes, so it goes
Kim's sunsets
The Fat White Family released Kim’s Sunsets on Fri Apr 19 2019.
