An unthinkably brutal “silver dagger ballad” about a lord who hacks his lady love to pieces. On the DVD of A Mighty Wind, Mitch & Mickey sing this song in their rehearsals for the concert. After some unease at the lyrics, they consider it for their opener.
And with these cold words the young man threw his dagger
The hillside did ring with her cries loud and shrill
As he speared her young flesh with his merciless weapon
Again and again upon Killington Hill
He speared her young belly and hacked at her ankles
He laughed as her blood in the trough it did spill
She cried, "O tis pity I'm thus mutilated
And shan't be the mistress of Killington Hill"
His dark bloody business now thusly completed
The young lord deserted thе scene of his kill
Went homе to his castle and ate a fine supper
Then slept like a baby on Killington Hill
Killington Hill was written by Michael McKean.
Killington Hill was produced by Jeffery CJ Vanston.
Mitch & Mickey released Killington Hill on Tue Sep 23 2003.
