How did the song come together?
I felt the urge to write a song that was really stripped down, raw and honest. I was listening to a lot of classic soul songs at the time and wanted to capture a real emotion/feeling in a similar way to those records I love.
What inspired KOBMH?
This song was written after losing someone and so it becomes more emotional to perform as it is about still being inside a world that only exists in memory. Keep on Breaking My Heart is about wanting a person who has walked away from you forever, never to look back.
What was the process of making the song like?
I worked on KOBMH in LA with Chris Stracey who is a genius and one of my favourite people to work with. I wanted to make a song which was really stripped down, raw and honest that felt like it was conversational and directed towards someone I love. I was listening to a lot of Prince demos at the tim...
