“K Car” references the car, Plymouth Reliant, for which the band is named. It was called a K-Car in reference to the “K” emblem on the rear of the car.
[Intro]
Let's go
[Verse 1]
Is it just a car or is it so much more?
It's a superstar with the gas to the floor
Zero to sixty in remarkable time
It's the automobile that's top of the line
[Chorus]
Yeah, we got a K car on the road of life
We're gonna get far if the driver's Christ
Yeah, we got a K car
She really suits the band
And we're gonna get far 'cause it's in God's hands
It's in God's hands
Let's go
[Verse 2]
Is it just a car or is it so much more?
It's a superstar with the gas to the floor
In a drag race all the others fall
And Brandon Ebel just gave us a call
[Chorus]
Yeah, we got a K car on the road of life
We're gonna get far if the driver's Christ
Yeah, we got a K car
She really suits the band
And we're gonna get far 'cause it's in God's hands
It's in God's hands
