«Jillian And The Silver Spoon, filmed live by Berlin Sessions came out of a poem about losing your hands and the search to find them again. I hope you like it! David»
When you wake up from the dream
With both your hands missing
In a forest of gloves
A spoon in your pocket
And a song in your chest
You’ll be dressed as a dancer
You’ll walk through the cities of men
Talk to the statues
And sleep in the sand
You’ll search for the city
You had seen in that dream
Where the birds had the answer
The pale moon up above you
Will shine and flicker from afar
Dear Jillian when you wake
From the dream you won’t know
Where you are
And when you arrive at the gates
You’ll ask for the woman
That shelters the birds
She’ll say that your hands are ready for you
But you first need to free them
You’ll ask ‘lady but how could I free them?’
She’ll say ‘with the spoon and by believing
It doesn’t mean your hands are both gone
Just cause you don’t see them
So you’ll make a hole in the ground
Slowly, with the silver spoon
From the soil
Two silver birds
Will fly up to the moon
And you’ll know those are your new hands
And soon you’ll touch the skies
Dear Jillian the true root of the light is inside of your eyes...
