‘Jesse’ is an upcoming song as an extention of the ‘3D Country’ era. Having been performed for over a year prior to its release for radio stations' social outlets, it had only been revealed that the song was called ‘Jesse’ in their performance for Rolling Stone’s Youtube channel.
The band first tea...
[Verse 1]
Woman eagle on my shoulder
This old dog is dying
Slipping down the holy mountain
I can be your anything, I can be your anything
[Refrain]
You liar
Dark rider
On fire
I believe, I believe in your power
Finally, love in the final hour
[Verse 2]
Three bullets left honey, I got your six
And one more for your lips, love can be so ugly
Dead boy voices in the wind
Spirits dancing in the darkness, rocking like ships
[Refrain]
Dark rider
On fire
Fly higher
Life on the run
I fought the law
I fought the man
Walk on the sun
[Outro]
I believe, I beliеve in your power
Finally, my work is done
Jesse was written by Cameron Winter & Dominic DiGesu & Foster Hudson & Gus Green & Max Bassin.
Jesse was produced by Geese & James Ellis Ford.
Cameron Winter:
‘Jesse’ started as a really fast song, then morphed into a slower, psych-ier, more soulful track. It got left off of the album because we didn’t feel like there was a good place for it, but we’ve always really enjoyed playing it live.
