Jack went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
Jill couldn’t go because she was carrying Jack’s daughter
She found it kind of funny
How he used her for money
All their secrets in between the sheets
Had her mind on repeat
He laughed in her face and called her a whore
Because all she wanted was something more
But she looked in the mirror and put on her makeup
Hoping they would break up
She used foundation to cover the bruises on her eyes
As well as all his lies
The walls were stained with Beer
Because the only time he was happy was when he wasn’t here
She smeared her mascara
As she heard Kara
In the other room doing a dance
Trying to get into Jack’s pants
Jill decided to scratch his car
Grabbed a nail and scratched it hard
She broke the glass
And then she left at last
Jack let out one final scream
Before she decided to leave
She got into her car
And drove very very far
Once she was far away
She told herself it was gonna be okay
