IV. True Artists (skit)

- A large room. A simple acoustic beat is being laid down. It seems natural. Someone is definitely beating on a desk, chair or surface of some sort. A-Rod and Vito are ad-libbing to it. The beat stops, piano suddenly rides in.

[VITO:] (CONT'D)
Then I see a mouse on the couch...

- Everyone chuckles. The beat returns; Vito continues ad-libbing. Once again, the beat drops. A-Rod smiles, he's finally got the shot he's been setting up for the camera.

[A-ROD:]
That's good...

- The beat returns.

[VITO:]
Go back on the piano!

- Nate can be heard in the background. Everyone is becoming excited and revved up. A-Rod who is still setting the shot for the camera, calls for peace.

[A-ROD:]
Alright! Don't move, don't move, don't move...
Alright.

- There's a moment of silence. A-Rod calls over Marq to hold and check the shot for the camera. Vito clicks promptly and comedically into stage mode.

[VITO:]
Oh wait! I need to get like, physically ready.

- The whole room rolls their eyes, chuckling once more.

[NATE:]
Nerd status: "This is Travis Raeburn."

- Nate smiles at Vito and they simper at the comment. Nate sits at the piano, prepared to begin playing. He's just trying to pass the time. Vito is now standing mid-stage. A-Rod and Marq are still setting the camera.

[MARQ:]
Yeah.

[A-ROD:]
Hm?

[MARQ:]
Alright, it's recording.

[A-ROD:]
(cartoonishly)
Oh yeah! Oooh!

[VITO:]
I'm hungry...

- A-Rod motions Vito to come to the camera and check the spot as he prepares his placement on the set. In the background, Nate tinkers with the piano. A-Rod plays with a mirror, smiling at his reflection.

[MARQ:]
(whispering)
Lookin' at that mirror boy?

[NATE:]
What's he saying?

[A-ROD:]
(laughing)
I don't know.
(seriously)
A lot...

- Just like A-Rod, everyone laughs at first but then slowly appreciates the moment.

[VITO:]
(fixing the shot)
Interact with that mirror.

[MARQ:]
(checking behind VITO)
Word boy.

- Everyone's now set. Time for a test run...

[A-ROD:]
Count it in...

- Nate counts it off with a comical incomprehensible catchphrase. The piano starts and simultaneously Vito begins stepping. There is a sudden stop.

[NATE:]
Ready when you are.

[A-ROD:]
We ready...
