It Is Well With My Soul

This morning I questioned my faith towards a god I don’t believe in
As I rolled out of my bed and fell face-first to the pavement

I’ve got a nasty hole in one
And one hole in my brother
For the heart of man’s closest relations

I hereby raise my glass to all of those who still believe
A savior born and dead for me too selfish to lay corpses lonely

Fibers in my meat suit, mortal took my glass and smashed it

Until numbered breaths count last

Standing high upon a scaffolding
These beams have nasty inclination
Uncompleted til they’re 6 deep feet
Beneath it’s crooked, flawed foundation
