‘Introduction’ is the intro to the ‘Until i let go’ album, beginning the record on a deep note. The track is inspired by the late XXXTENTACION’s ‘Train food’, off his album, ‘SKINS’. The song is a short-memoir of a true story, of David’s past that we don’t usually see.
(Verse 1)
The lyrics control me
I’m not the one recording this
You hear my deep voice
Think that I was really rapping this
I use my power
To control whatever happens
And my depression kills me
Swear to god it hasn’t happened
I’m...
It’s a process
But continuing on...
I’m the one who started this
Depression and obsession
No control over the politics
No media
No cell phones or wallets and
There’s nobody who understands what rap is
I’m..
It’s a process
(Verse 2)
Ever felt being jumped before?
I’ve felt it too many times
Woke up in a alley
All my friends thinking that I died
Couldn’t control how I felt
So I let go
Wish they would’ve tried to help
But god we will never know
All the necessities
Create the melody
But fears the one doing this
I’m just the one composing
So when the lyrics turn down
And the beat goes cordless
I’ll be sure to put my thoughts
Addressed to the chorus
What you mean you can’t hear me?!
I was rapping that whole verse
Back when there were no MC’s
Half of these lyrics wrote when I was 13
What a funny time
I had just started writing
(haha)
But when the screen goes black
And the lyrics sound wack
Just know that the authentic David is back
But before the song ends
Let me reveal something else
When I first recorded Redemption
The samples were as mentioned
Don’t get me for no credit
The beat maker died as published
(Outro)
What a reality
(haha)
It’s the control of life
Welcome to Until i let go
