My Mum always used to say:
High school will be the best days of your life
I'm talking about her like she's dead
She ain't
And I don't know if that line was one of hers
Or she took it from somewhere else
But we were all cool growing up
Nothing weighed heavy on us then
I was class clown and all that

I blinked and the years went
And somewhere I got trapped
My thoughts couldn't see and my mind couldn't breathe
And I cried a lot

Then you've got my Belgrave brothers
Valentine's lot
And Seven Kings girls too
I was taught to be honest
And that's exactly what I'm gonna do
I've said sorry enough for acting out of line on something I thought I could control
