The records are attached to the sides of the main body of the spacecraft in prominent locations. It contains in scientific language information how the records are to be played using the cartridges and needles provided. The theory is that if other being intelligent enough to capture the spacecraft, they are sufficiently intelligent to bring the record sounds and pictures to life

We are now launched one hour, 9 minutes and 13 seconds, and the altitude of the spacecraft is now 2,732 miles traveling at a speed of 29,553 miles per hour. It's going away from the earth very rapidly
